Carter G. Woodson

Carter G. Woodson is man who we thank every year for the inception of Black History Month.  He had the immeasurable intellect to establish a holiday that went on for a whole month.  A recognition that would highlight the talent and strengths of African Americans during a time when we didn’t know if Jim Crow would ever lose its foothold in North America.  (more…)

Saints March In with the Winning Ads (Video)

The New Orleans Saints put it down on the field for the 44th Super Bowl last night against the Indianapolis Colts.  Maybe next year Colts!  Both teams were supreme in their execution, but only one can be top dog.   So hats off to you Saints!  The game was good, but who in the hell dug up The Who for the halftime show?  They’re classic and all, but there’s way too many fans in the stands that really are saying “The Who?” (more…)

Beyonce’ Caught Up In RICO Sting?

It looks like Beyonce’ and her mother are having some real thug like issues over in the House of Dereon.  It appears that she’s been dealing with the Chinese to produce their clothes.  Well, you know how the Chinese (if you go to one of their laundries), are about their clothes.  No Pay! No Clothes! You pay now!  And unfortunately, it looks like someone has come up short in the Knowles household. (more…)

Illinois can’t seem to produce a solid politician to save their lives.  Ever since their governor Rod Blagojevich tried to sell Barack Obama’s seat to the highest bidder things just have not been the same.  Now the democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, Scott Lee Cohen, is on the hot seat.  He was running and crying all the way to the exit when his past showed up to greet his public before him. (more…)

All of the accomplishments that Barack Obama have made are instrumental to the progress of other young black men and that is why we found it an exceptional occasion to be able to celebrate the first African American President of the United States of America with just one of his many achievements he achieved 20 years ago on this day.  On this day, Mr. Barack Obama walked up to the podium and accepted his place at the head of the Harvard Law Review.  (more…)

Family Cut Off Medicaid 9-Year Old Dies (Video)

Zumante Lucero, 9, dies because of Medicaid error in Denver, Co.

If they are not, Social Services should be looking at a nightmare lawsuit in Denver, Co.  But, a family that was unexpectedly cut off Medicaid lost a beautiful little boy, Zumante Lucero, in July and there isn’t any reports of a filing so far.  Hopefully, the family will get SOMETHING seeing as how the state is already admitting fault.

Their new system is only six years old.  They received a new computer system in 2004 and they have had complaints since implementing it.  (more…)
